Bibble Pro Windows Placed Off-Screen in Windows XP

I process many thousands of RAW (NEF, actually) photographs a month and one of my primary tools is Bibble Pro and when using Windows XP (on a multi-monitor system) it has a very annoying habit of moving off-screen so that the application cannot be sized across both monitors (or used.)

I found a fix for off-screen windows today, after running some Google searches.

A hack, for sure, but it will get your windows back into parts of the screen that are visible.

I will note that Bibble only does this under Windows XP and Windows Vista. X-Windows (under Linux/UNIX) does not have stupid problems with viewports outside of screens.

The Police State Is Here

On Yahoo NewsCrime-ridden Arkansas town expands 24-hour curfew:

"Now if somebody wants to sue us, they have an option to sue, but I'm fairly certain that a judge will see it the way the way the citizens see it here," Mayor James Valley said. "The citizens deserve peace, that some infringement on constitutional rights is OK and we have not violated anything as far as the Constitution."

Read the entire story and fear the coming of the police state ...

Something Wonderful

Today, something wonderful happened.

The IT department where I worked decided to allow us to browse web sites without using a proxy-filter (for at least today.)

Sure has been nice to be able to read my very useful technical blog!
