Stream Near Monastic Villiage

Ice cold, flooded, barren and windswept -- all fair enough words for the remote valley in western Ireland where the photograph's contents are found. The village served as a final hiding place for many religious relics during the time of the Vikings and is still today a place somehow both stark and verdant.
